The best time is today. We don’t have to wait for tomorrow. The Lord made this day. This is the most important time – this is the point of eternity. Because the past is no longer there, it cannot be returned, and the future has not yet arrived. We live now. This is a rhetorical question. Our heart is beating now.
How do we spend each day? Put on your best clothes today because it’s the best day ever. You can make your every day a festival. Celebrate Jesus, Celebrate the Lord Messiah! Make these days the best. The Lord created this day not for us to be in sorrow, for our days to be uninteresting, but go like for a festival, make this day the best, wonderful and incredibly beautiful. It depends on us.
Celebrate Jesus! This is an internal decision.
People are traumatized, under different complexes, they are under the “slab” of everyday life, everyday needs and worries. But break this cycle, this circle and break free like a bird! Make this day wonderful and marvellous. Let it be the best one even out of the blue. You may say there are no external circumstances for to become the best. No! We shouldn’t depend on circumstances. Our happiness is inside, it has already been fulfilled and should not depend on the events that occurred with us. It is an inner decision to shine with the light of Christ. Jesus has already accomplished all things. He said on the cross: “It is finished!” Let this not be a theory for us, but it will become a strong decision of our will – to renew ourselves in glory.
I recently made this decision – I have different kinds of outfits in my wardrobe, but I put on my best to live this day as my last. I just go to work, but I don’t want to be “good”, I want to be “the best”! As a father once said to his son: “Son, it’s not enough to be good, you have to be the best!” Can we realize that we have set ourselves such a goal – to become the best with the Father? Oh, if only that were so! You and I would have seen the radiance already. I really inspire you. Make this day the best. Use the best things. Don’t look at tomorrow, don’t save, don’t spare. The Lord told us not to worry about tomorrow. The Lord made this day! Don’t worry about what to eat or what to wear. God feeds you.
Everyone likes generous people, but no one likes stingy people. Unfortunately, we often transfer stinginess to gifts of grace – transfer it to the spiritual dimension and become stingy in spirit.
I have met people who find it difficult to bless. They don’t see the point in blessing, they don’t see fair logic. So they don’t bless. I think this is wrong. We must push off from a flat place and take off without a run. We don’t need a “runway”, we can disappear and appear through an inner decision and be these wonderful and wondrous birds of the Lord.
This may not be relevant for some and I feel sorry for you. I will celebrate Jesus with my beloved, wonderful, wondrous, saints. As it is written in the Scriptures – “to whom all my drawing is”. He calls them wondrous because he saw them with supernatural spiritual eyes. As we read: «Throughout the coming ages we will be the visible display of the infinite riches of His grace and kindness, which was showered upon us in Jesus Christ». (Ephesians 2:7 TPT)
I want to be like David — not under the law, but under grace to set up an altar in my heart to be with the worshipers. The Father is looking for His worshipers. Paul wrote his letter under the inspiration of an ecstatic heart because he knew it was the truth. David is the Old Testament Apostle, and Paul is the New Testament one, they were captured by God in ecstasy and admiration of the heart. I invite you into this delight. Maybe you have never experienced these tears of love. Well, experience it! This is a place of love, God has not yet closed it.
A few thoughts from a pilgrim.
It’s not scary to be a poor. When we have nothing to boast of, when our wealth is poverty, when we have nothing to boast of either in gifts or ministries, we are left with poverty. There is a picture that depicts how Francis of Assisi married the mistress Poverty. Don’t laugh at this. This is deep mysticism. The Pilgrim’s Poverty. He has nothing else. But man comes to rest because he has nothing else.
Sometimes we try to “spare ourselves”, to «stay on top», especially when we try to be more than we are. This is hard. When a person realizes his poverty, he calms down in God, poverty fills his soul, his body, and he begins to truly hope, he begins to live in hope.
These are unusual things. We are used to being “heroes conquering the world”. My mountain is two-humped – it has both spiritual and mystical. But this is one mountain, it is not a duality. As there is the Father and the Son, so there is the prophetic and the creative, there is the spiritual and the mystical, there is the spiritual and the good of the soul. Did you think there is one peak? Make no mistake, God has different mountaintops. Stop bringing everything to the same denominator and pretending you know everything: calm down – you don’t know anything. I congratulate you on this freedom. I choose trust instead of faith and love instead of knowledge, the element instead of a statistical structure, the journey instead of a success life.
A man who accepts his poverty is a man who never fights to “be” someone. He begins to take joy both in sorrows and joys in the same way. This is an understanding of oneself in God. Such a man is always ready to bear the cross with Christ, because he is always poor. Having everything, he has nothing. Having nothing – he has everything.
God’s Pilgrim is not Robinson’s loneliness, where you actually have everything and you have subdued the nature. It’s your choice, you go there to get away from those things that Crusoe gained. There on a desert island, Robinson was still dependent on the civilization, he was never left alone. Therefore, loneliness is not the loneliness of Robinson, who never redeemed anyone. The pilgrim sometimes gets weary with his weakness, but this is the nature of his contemplation, he accepts this experience as an experience of the spiritual path. He doesn’t need to weed out – right from wrong. He’s moving on, and this is the main point.
Jesus was the loneliest Man that ever existed. Even doubts, confusion, absent-mindedness can be part of contemplation. This can bring man into silence. But this is the path of a pilgrim: if I am not seeking knowledge, questions don’t bother me. I don’t need knowledge. Truth is not information. I’ve realized that the pursuit of knowledge is a worldly passion. The more explanations for the supernatural, the less supernatural. The supernatural is always a mystery. We tried to explain God, created theology, but we lost His presence.
A pilgrim asks no more questions. He gains confidence in trust. Trust is valued more than faith. Love is more than knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. God is present in our insignificance, as in the true reality. Who would go for such a presence? Who among us seeks and loves such a presence? Such a person is happy without any entertainment. He doesn’t need entertainment to be happy. He doesn’t need gifts. He rejoices not in the objects themselves, but in the signs that stand behind them. He is not always sure if he is on the right path now, but he knows the path he is looking for. This is much more important. He just continues. He doesn’t see the path before him, but when he gets to the place, he knows that this is it. The closer he is to the goal, the further from the journey. A true pilgrim doesn’t understand the journey. But this is the journey of a pilgrim.
If David heard me now, we would dance with him. Because a true worshiper comes from behind the scenes. This is not a public person. It doesn’t take his roots in the public. He doesn’t live in public, his roots are in the dark, in secret. He chose the path of poverty according to the will of God. Sometimes it scares him, but he returns to it again and again. This is where he meets God. Jesus said, “Pray in secret, for my Father, who is in secret, will reward you openly.” We know that these roots – secret fasting, secret prayer, secret charity – Christ directly teaches us that we have a secret life with God. A secret, not a church structure. If you meditate on God, you will see that He is lonely. But this is a different loneliness. There is no equal to Him.
We also spoke about the importance of pauses. God’s answers are «yes», «no», and «wait». “Wait” is a pause. God often uses pauses. Sometimes they are so long that you start to lose faith in these matters. Then God appears again and says, “Now.” God is not a pragmatist; He doesn’t pursue success like we do. He doesn’t need it. He rules from the beginning. He ruled and shall rule forever. He is not of this world. He is incredibly exalted above the whole world, its principles, rules, above all our knowledge. And the one who breaks off vertically, walks with Him and looks at this world through His eyes.
The lonely God feels cramped among people. He calls people to Himself. He doesn’t want to remain in our fellowship, He calls us up into His fellowship, so that we ascend to a different fellowship, to the Risen Christ, and through the loneliness of Gethsemane and Golgotha, be raised with Him and raptured, joined on the Throne of God.
This is a pilgrim who became impoverished, as Christ became impoverished for us, he has nothing to fear – he has nothing to lose. He has accepted his poverty within himself. He doesn’t need to fight for his authority, he doesn’t need to fight with anyone at all. He’s safe. Taking his journey as unstable, he continues to hope and gets free from human fears, religious fears. Maybe there are fewer people who hear it. But he doesn’t need people. He knows God in loneliness and joins in eternal union with Him. More and more he experiences His presence in poverty. This is a great and powerful freedom. It is not popular today because it doesn’t bring benefits and popularity. But this is the sweetest way.
How many words should be said to be sure that we’ve pleased God? How many pauses should there be? How many Scriptures do you need to cite? How many times should one pray? How long should you pray? What is right in God’s eyes? – Nobody will tell. By what scale, by what table can you evaluate whether this word was “strong”, “right” or “wrong”? I choose trust, delight in worship, and the journey.
“ Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation. He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seizing equality with God as his supreme prize. Instead he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion! Because of that obedience, God exalted him and multiplied his greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names! Philippians 2:3 – 9 TPT” Hosanna !
